Last week, Angelique Muller, who programs the short film selection of VFF represented the Film Grain during the 68th edition of the Montecatini short film festival.
As the ‘New kids on the block’ we are honored to have been invited to present Maltese works at the oldest film festival in Europe.
The little over one hour program we chose to screen is an anthology project produced by the Film Grain Foundation in collaboration with the Malta Arts Council and the Malta EU presidency, entitled Ewropej.
The five short films are interpretations (poetic, satirical or observational) of the values of a European identity. The series was premiered at the third edition of VFF in June 2017.
We’d like to thank the Roberto Cimetta fund /Valletta 2018 for supporting this exchange between our festivals.
