EFA Young Audience Award 2019
On Sunday 5th May 2019, Film Grain Foundation hosted the European Film Academy Young Audience Award 2019 in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv.
Teenagers from Malta were invited to join thousands of kids from around Europe to watch three European films simultaneously. The screenings offered a unique opportunity to discover great European films that reflect the realities of young people all over Europe.
Each film was discussed with film educators and film professionals and the attendees got in touch with their fellow jury members in other countries via chatrooms setup for the event that then voted for their favourite film.
The European Film Academy’s Young Audience Award unites 12-14-year-olds in 55 cities in 34 countries from Iceland to Malta, from Portugal to Croatia.
