Film Grain Foundation is proud to announce the nine projects that will be participating at the first edition of the Valletta Film Lab – Documentary Workshop that will taking place in Valletta from Monday 18 to Saturday 23 March 2019.
The directors and producers of the selected projects will be in Valletta to develop their stories with the help of a number of international consultants that will be attending the event. The consultants of the first workshop are Jacques Deschamps, Atanas Georgiev, Lutz Gregor, Boris Mitic and Jean-Jacques Perretti.
The projects selected are from Albania, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Malta and Slovenia. The Valletta Film Lab is open only to filmmakers from small European nations.
On the last day of the workshop, all participants will be pitching their projects to an audience. Two participants will be awarded the HSBC Best Pitch Award and will be provided with accreditation, travel and accommodation to the international documentary market Sunny Side of the Doc that will be taking place at La Rochelle, France on 24-27 June 2019.

Plastic Disks and Wheels of Steel by Franco Dujmic (Croatia)
